Psychotherapy and counseling should not be services that are accessible only to those with disposable incomes. Every person has the right to receive affordable and quality mental healthcare. As such, I have worked to provide service options tailored for individuals in a variety of life spaces, and I welcome you to contact me to discuss these options.
While finding the time and money to put toward your health and wellness can be difficult, I encourage you to make this a priority. No matter the dollar price, it may cost far more to not go to therapy when, for instance, the problem is affecting your wellbeing to the point that it affects your ability to sustain relationships that are important to you, to be a productive employee or student, or to manage depression or anxiety. The return on investment that psychotherapy and counseling can provide makes it well worth the effort and sacrifice.
If you are hesitant to pursue therapy due to the cost, I would be happy to discuss this with you, and work to identify alternative options or referrals that would meet your needs.
Your counseling rate will vary based upon the length of your counseling session.
45-50 minute session: $105*
60-75 minutes session: $160*
90 minute session: $215*
*A reduced fee discount is available to those experiencing financial hardship, on a limited basis. Payment plans and out-of-network insurance claim submissions are also offered.
All fees are due at the end of each session and can be paid by cash, check, money order, credit card, or HSA card (receipts available for FSA reimbursement claims).
I am an “out-of-network” provider, so I do not bill insurance. However, I offer courtesy out-of-network claim filing or can provide you with an invoice* after each session, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement or to request that the session cost be applied to your yearly deductible.
Please be aware that if you choose to file an out-of-network claim with your insurance company, your private medical information will be released. This may impact your future insurance coverage, rates, and reimbursement.
In addition to these possibilities, while insurance may reduce initial out-of-pocket expenses, it may also limit and/or direct your counseling experience.
For these reasons, many clients opt to pay out-of-pocket, and bypass their insurance providers altogether.
*Available for non-discounted rate billing only.
I am a credentialed and paneled provider for Corporate Care Works EAP and Network Advantage Services, whom services several EAPs, including Midwest EAP and Inova EAP. Through these EAP programs, I am available to work with individuals for a predetermined number of sessions, at no cost to the client. If your employer has contracted EAP services with Corporate Care Works, Midwest, Inova, or any EAPs working with Network Advantage Services and you would like to receive counseling through my practice using your EAP benefits, you must first contact your employer’s EAP directly to obtain pre-authorization for counseling services. For more information about possible EAP benefits available to you, contact your employer’s Human Resources department.
Cancellation & “No Show” Policy
Non-emergency appointment cancellations must be made within 24-hours of a scheduled appointment to avoid being billed a $35 late cancellation fee. Those who miss an appointment will be billed a $35 no-show fee. These fees are due by the end of the next scheduled appointment.
